Yungaburra Quarry is situated on the outskirts of Yungaburra in the Atherton Tableland area of Far North Queensland.
The quarry provides a rich source of Quincan (scoria) used for both domestic and commercial use in a variety of forms. Quincan is loved by orchid and bromeliad growers due to its drainage quality as well as being used by local Shires in road building and landscaping.
The types of quincan found at Yungaburra Quarry are as diverse as the attractions in the surrounding area of the Atherton Tablelands.
